We would like to thank all participants for their enthusiastic participation in all the competitions held in Nov 2016.
Registration for the competitions is closed
The finals of all competitions will be conducted on 24th Dec 2016, Saturday at Adamya Chetana. The results of preliminary rounds will be announced on our website on 14th Dec 2016 at 12.00 noon.

We are happy to announce 17 different competitions as part of Adamya Chetana Seva Utsav 2017. First round of Competitions are held on all the four Saturdays of November 2016 (5th, 12th, 19th, 26th Nov). Here are the details….

1 Pick and Speak  

Participants to speak for not more than 3 mins on the topic by picking a chit.
Participants can speak in English or in Kannada. Participants are allowed to speak only on the topic. Individual blame or taking a particular name and abusing are strictly not allowed and participants will be eliminated immediately.

2 Street Play Minimum of 10 Members. Time Duration Max 20 Mins. Participants have to choose any one topic from the theme.

Street play concept should depict from the theme. Participants are not allowed to use mike set, they can use other props for the play. The teams are to stick for the time limit including introduction and conclusion. Participants are not supposed to depict vulgarity. Dress code must maintain decorum.

3 Poster Making Competition This competition is making posters which will create awareness amongst the people on the theme of the Utsav. Duration:30 mins. Participants can write slogans in Kannada/ Hindi/ English and can use pencil, pen or any colours for drawing cartoons/pictures. Sticking any kind of external material (Smileys/ Paper cutting etc.) is not allowed. Drawing sheet will be provided. Teams to bring their own Sketch pens, markers, colours and writing pad.

PS – Poster making is not  a drawing competition. A message to invite or to educate people about the Utsav Theme.

4 Classical Dance – Solo This competition is for Indian Classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak etc. Duration: max 8 Mins

Classical dance must be chosen from any of the classical forms of Indian dance patterns.
Songs must be brought in pen drive only (virus free)
Time duration must be maintained strictly.
No vulgarities in dance or song.

5 Classical Dance – Group This competition is for Indian Classical dance forms such as Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak etc. Minimum of 8 Members. Time Duration: max 15 Mins

Classical dance must be chosen from any of the classical forms of Indian dance patterns.
Songs must be brought in pen drive only (virus free)
Time duration must be maintained strictly.
No vulgarities in dance or song.

6 Group Dance Freestyle Preference will be given for the dance with Utsava theme. Duration : max 15 min. Minimum 8 members in a group.

Songs must be brought in pen drive only (virus free)
Time duration must be maintained strictly.
In Freestyle dance form any kind of dance pattern can be adopted. No vulgarities in dance or song. Folk dance or Indian traditional or Fusion dance will get preference

7 Vande Mataram Singing – Group Participants have to sing Complete “Vande Mataram” . Vande Mataram can be sung in a tune of personal choice. Live musical instruments allowed. Atleast 8 members in a Group.

All 5 stanzas of Vande Mataram to be sung. In group singing music instrument adjustment should not be more than 5 mins .

8 Vande Mataram Singing – Solo Participants have to sing Complete “Vande Mataram” . Vande Mataram can be sung in a tune of personal choice. Only ET (Shruthi Pettige) is allowed.

All 5 stanzas of Vande Mataram to be sung. Shruthi Pettige must be tuned properly well in advance.

9 Group Singing Minimum 8 members in a group. Live instruments are allowed. Preference will be given for the songs with Utsava theme. Duration: max 8 mins
10 Solo Singing Live instruments are not allowed. Only ET (Shruthi Pettige) is allowed. Preference is given for songs with Utsava theme. Duration : max 3 mins
11 Vande Mataram writing Complete “Vande Mataram” to be written, either in Devanagari or Kannada or English script. Paper will be provided. Writing pad and pen to be brought by the participant. Duration: 10 Min

While writing Vande Mataram, handwriting must be proper and clearly understandable. Extra / additional sheets will not be provided.
Mentioning the name and receipt number on the sheet is compulsory

12 Drawing Participants have to make beautiful & meaningful drawing and mention suitable title. Topic has to be chosen from the Utsava theme. Drawing sheets will be provided. Students will have to bring other required drawing & colouring equipment. Duration : 45 MinsHalf of Drawing sheet is provided (Only one Sheet). Water colours, crayons etc are allowed. Any kind of stickers/imaging / tracing devices are not allowed. Additional time will not be given. Mentioning the name and receipt number on the sheet is compulsory ****
13 Essay Writing The topics of the speech are centred around the theme of “Sujalaam Suphalaam” for writing an essay. Language can be either Kannada or English. Paper for writing will be provided. Duration: 20 Mins

A4 sheet is provided (Only one Sheet). Topics must be chosen from the list (Theme based). Additional time will not be given. Mentioning the name and receipt number on the sheet is compulsory

14 Quiz Each team shall consist of 3 members. More than one team can participate from a School. Topics: Utsava theme, ecology and environment. Quiz will be conducted in both Kannada and English.

Three members in a team is must. Same 3 members should continue till the finals. Participants from different schools can form a team.  Students below 10th standard only.

15 Fancy Dress Competition To imitate any of the freedom fighters, scientists, singers, poets etc… (for example : Rani Chennamma, Veer Savarkar, Homy J Bhabha, Lokamanya Tilak, Sir. M Visvesvaraya, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Marie Curie, AB Vajpayee, Narendra Modi, Salu Marada Thimmakka etc…)
Duration: max 1 Min. Only for the children below 5th standard (4th standard included but not 5th standard). Dialogues and postures/ Acting will get additional points. Languages : kannada, English and Hindi.

16 Bhajan Competition This competition is for the groups who regularly meet & practice Bhajans & devotional songs. Atleast 10 members should be in one team. Live Musical Instruments can be used. The group is allowed to sing more than one Bhajan. Duration: max 15 Mins.

For all age groups. No restriction on maximum number of participants. Strictly follow the time and schedule of the event.

(PS- first round of competition will be held during weekdays – Monday to Friday – starting 6th Nov)

Public
17 Model Making Competition These are 3D models. These must be the models related to the theme and related to science. Suggested size to be around 2ft by 1.5ft. Along with the model, a maximum of 2 posters of A3 size will be allowed. Last date for registration is 25th Dec 2016. The participants need to bring the models and explain to the jury on 30th Dec 2016 at 1St floor, Uttaradimath Hall, Opposite National College, Basavanagudi Category 1: School Children below 10th Standard Category 2: College students Engineering, Science and other Streams and Public
